Chapter 4 LICT Spanish 1 story

Thalia quería un vestido nuevo.  Andaba a la tienda Macy’s porque había un vestido muy bonito que quería comprar. El vestido era largo y azul, y era el vestido más bonito que Thalia había visto (had seen).  Costaba $500, pero su papá le había dicho (had told her) que ella podía usar su tarjeta de crédito para pagarlo.  
Thalia wanted a new dress. She was going to Macy's because there was a very pretty dress that she wanted to buy.  The dress was long and blue, and it was the pretties dress that Thalia had seen.  It cost $500, but her dad had told her that she could use his credit card to pay for it.

Cuando Thalia entró la tienda, ¡había tantos vestidos bonitos!  Pero Thalia no se puso ningún otro vestido—quería el vestido azul y largo.  Por fin ella vio el vestido y se lo puso.  ¡Perfecto!  Ella buscó un dependiente y le dijo que quería comprar el vestido.

When Thalia entered the store, there were so many pretty dresses!  But Thalia didn't put on a single other dress--she wanted the long blue dress.  Finally she saw the dress and put it on.  Perfect!  She looked for a clerk and told him that she wanted to buy the dress.

            Cuando el dependiente vio el vestido, le dijo

--Oh, ¡qué  bonito!  ¿Ud. tiene zapatos azules?—

Thalia le dijo –No, los necesito.—

El dependiente le dijo –Tenemos los zapatos perfectos en la sección de zapatos.—
               
             When the clerk say the dress he said to her,  "Oh, how pretty!  Do  you have blue shoes?"  Thalia told him, "No, I need them."  The clerk told her, "We have the perfect shoes in the shoe section."

            Thalia buscó unos zapatos azules, y los encontró.  Decidió comprarlos también.  El dependiente le dijo

 –¿Tiene un sueter azul?  El vestido es tan elegante que necesita comprar un sueter elegante, también.—

Thalia pensó –¡El dependiente tiene razón!--  Ella buscó un sueter elegante.  También compró unas medias muy elegantes. 
             Thalia looked for some blue shoes and found them.  She decided to buy them, too.  The clerk told her, "Do you have a blue sweater?  The dress is so elegant that you need to buy an elegant sweater, too." Thalia thought, 'The clerk is right!' She looked for an elegant sueter.  She also bought some very elegant stockings.

            Por fin Thalia estaba lista.  Ella compraba el vestido, los zapatos, las medias, y la sueter.  Pero cuando pagó la cuenta con su tarjeta, el dependiente vino a ella.  No tenía una sonrisa.

            --Señorita, ¡no tiene bastante dinero en tu tarjeta!--  El dependiente recogió el vestido, las medias, la sueter, y los zapatos y los llevó a su oficina.  ¡Pobre Thalia no compró nada!

          Finally Thalia was ready.  She was buying the dress, the shoes, the hose, and the sweater.  But when she paid the bill with her card, the clerk came to her.  He did not have a smile.  "Miss, you do not have enough money on your card!"  The clerk picked up the dress, the hose, the sweater, and the shoes and took them to his office.  Poor Thalia didn't buy anything!
