Había dos hermanas que eran
alumnas de Salpointe. Una se llamaba
Silvia y la otra se llamaba Roberta. A
There were two sisters that were Salpointe students. One was named Silvia and the other was named Roberta. They liked the school, although they didn't like the uniforms.
pantalones. Entonces corrió a su mamá
para pedirle dinero.
One day, Roberta was putting on her clothes when she remember that she didn't have money for lunch. She put on her black shirt and her pants. Then she ran to her mom to ask her for money.
camisa. La puso en su clóset y sacó
(took out) una camisa blanca.
When she returned, Roberta saw that her sister also had put on a black shirt. Roberta entered the bedroom and took off her shirt. She put it in her closet and took out a white shirt. When she entered the kitchen to eat breakfast, Mom told her that her sister had already left with her friends to school. Roberta ate and then left, too.
blanca! Silvia le dio una banana a su
hermana. Roberta agarró la banana y le
preguntó --¿Por qué te quitaste tu camisa negra?
At school, Roberta didn't see Silvia in the morning, but while she was eating lunch, Silvia arrived. She had also put on a white shirt! Silvia gave a banana to her sister. Roberta took the banana and asked her, "Why did you take off your black shirt?"
Silvia explained to her, "When I saw that you put on a black shirt, I didn't want to have the same shirt as you, so I took the white one out of my closet and put it on.
Roberta told her, "And now we have the same shirt anyway! What a coincidence!
--Sí—le dijo su
hermana. Roberta, tenemos que hablar
antes que nos pongamos la ropa, ¿verdad?-
Ahora las hermanas siempre
se hablan antes de ponerse la ropa. No
hay más problemas.
Yes, said her sister. "Roberta, we have to talk before we put on our clothes, right?"
Now the sisters always talk to each other before putting on their clothes. There are no more problems.
